Stress and the Value of Rest

Stress....The compromising contributing  factor to almost every disease/illness.....

We can be stressed without even realising it....  If you handle stress well, it's easy to deny its effect on you, especially if the only state you know is operating on adrenalin. For a long time, I considered it a sort of ‘weakness’ - I wasn't able to admit to myself when something was stressful. Probably what I was innately connecting to was understanding that being stressed wasn't a desired state to inhabit or operate in.

Others have a different relationship to stress, almost wearing it as some sort of badge of honour - 'I'm so busy/stressed/important...' as an identity. Instead can we aspire to effectiveness and decision-making for solving/simplifying? You function much better when your system isn't stuck in the loop of stressing. Understanding how to enable EASE is true expertise.
