Your inner state is the lens through which you experience the world around you. Of course the world around you plays a major part in forming your inner state; we’re all a product of our life experiences. There’s a physicality involved in processing all these experiences and often the ‘residue’ of life’s dramas layer over the top of each other to form our unique neuromuscular habits of functioning. This physicality is the architecture of perpetuating particular inner states we become accustomed to. (We may not necessarily recognize baseline stress if we’re always operating on adrenaline, for example.) Shedding some of this patterning, finding skeletal support and a more neutral muscular resting state, allows an inner quiet / equilibrium - for engaging with the world from a centred state.
