Being able to influence how you feel is pretty empowering. In an Awareness Through Movement class you learn to listen to the sensory feedback signals of your body. You explore new ways of moving and discover how subtle details like where you place your feet can make a big difference in how connected and supported movement feels throughout your system.

​Awareness Through Movement is a guided process of learning and discovery. Exploring new ways of moving has a noticeable influence in how you feel different afterwards. It develops your balance, co-ordination and spatial awareness. Aches and pains in particular areas often settle down and disappear as you learn to distribute movement throughout your whole body so that you’re not straining individual joints.
Think mindfulness and engaging curiosity applied to movement. 
Awareness Through Movement is you getting to know yourself better.

It’s fun, it’s playful and you’re always learning something new.

Feldenkrais has opened up a whole new world of the inner most workings of my body at the skeletal level.
It has led to my discovery of new ways of executing body movements in a more relaxed and fluid manner that can be transferred to my everyday pursuits and complements and enhances other physical pursuits such as sport or dance. 
​
Its relaxed and meditative focus also helps to restore a sense of balance and emotional well being.
